Privacy policy

Order data has a job.

This draft policy explains what Kainos Aminos collects, why the storefront needs it, where service providers enter the process, and what choices can apply.

Section 01

Scope and information collected

This Privacy Policy describes information handled by Kainos Aminos through kainosaminos.com, ordering, membership, lot inquiries, and customer communications. It does not control an independent third party's privacy practices.

Information you provide can include name, email address, shipping address, order contents, order reference, membership or referral activity, communications, and information supplied for returns or damaged-item review. Kainos does not request a wallet seed phrase or private key.

Section 02

Automatic collection

When the Site is used, technical systems can record IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, referral source, timestamps, errors, and security events. Cookies or similar storage can preserve necessary storefront state and preferences.

BTCPay and the Bitcoin network produce transaction and invoice records separate from a card-payment system. Public blockchain data is not controlled or erasable by Kainos.

Section 03

How information is used

Kainos uses information to create and match pending orders, verify Bitcoin payment, fulfill and track shipments, manage membership and referral credit, provide lot documentation, answer questions, review returns, protect the Site, keep accounting and compliance records, and improve storefront reliability.

Information can also be used to enforce store terms, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with lawful requests, and establish or defend legal claims.

Section 04

Sharing and service providers

Information can be shared with vendors that perform hosting, email, database, storage, analytics, security, payment-invoice, fulfillment, shipping, laboratory-document, and professional services. They receive the information reasonably needed for the assigned function.

Kainos can also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misconduct, complete a business transaction, or act with your direction. Kainos does not accept credit cards or send customer payment data to PayPal.

Section 05

Cookies and storefront state

Cookies and local browser storage can retain cart contents, preferences, session state, security signals, and aggregate usage data. Disabling browser storage can prevent parts of checkout or account functionality from working as intended.

Where required, choices about non-essential technologies will be presented through the Site. Browser-level controls can also remove or block stored data.

Section 06

Security and retention

Kainos uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards selected for the nature of the information. No internet transmission, storage system, or security measure is guaranteed to be invulnerable.

Records are kept for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including fulfillment, lot traceability, accounting, dispute handling, security, and legal obligations. Retention differs by record type and applicable requirement.

Section 07

Privacy choices and rights

Depending on location and applicable law, you can have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or information about certain disclosures. Some records cannot be removed when they are required for transaction history, security, legal compliance, or the rights of others.

Requests can be submitted through the Contact page. Kainos can take reasonable steps to verify identity and authority before acting.

Section 08

California privacy notice

California residents can request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the business purposes for use, categories of sources and recipients, correction, or deletion, subject to statutory exceptions. Kainos will not unlawfully discriminate for exercising an applicable privacy right.

This Site does not present Kainos as selling personal information for money. If practices change in a way that creates an additional California notice or opt-out obligation, this policy and the relevant control will be updated.

Section 10

Changes and contact

Kainos can update this Privacy Policy as systems, practices, and legal obligations change. The revised version and date will be published on this page. Material changes will receive additional notice when required.

Privacy questions and rights requests can be submitted through the Contact page. Include enough information to identify the request, but do not send wallet credentials or unnecessary sensitive information.
